The Table of Free Voices
Living Archive
On September 9, 2006, 116 thinkers from 58 countries sat down at the largest round table ever built, in Berlin's Bebelplatz, and answered 99 questions chosen from more than 30,000 sent in by the public. Every answer was filmed. Almost none of it has been seen since.
This is that archive, being brought back. You can search it, read it, hear it, and add your own voice to it.
We're sharing this now with the people who made it, before it goes out to the world. The film is here: every answer plays as the footage shot that day. What's still unfinished is the detail around it — some translations are machine-made and awaiting a native reading, a few counts are still being checked. Tell us what's wrong, what's missing, and what you'd want to find here.
The full archive opens publicly on 09.09.2026, twenty years to the day.
The seat is still open.
